FALLING DOWN THE PAGE

This book is edited by Georgia Heard.  The book is a book of list poems.  All relating to school.  They are all fun to read but a little hard to read because the binding is at the top then you flip it up and over.  The poems are amazing and written by different people. It taught me a lot about how to write list poems even though it did not tell me how to write them.

Hatchet

Hatchet is written by Gary Paulsen.  This book is about a kid who is going to visit his dad and the plane he is in crashes.  The pilot is dead.  The plane is where he cannot get to the survival pack.  He must survive until rescue comes with only the hatchet his mother gave him.  It could take weeks for rescue to come for him.  He must have a place to live fire and food to survive and to do this he has his hatchet himself and his surroundings.  This book is absolutely the best boy book ever.

A Long Way from Chicago / A Year Down Yonder

A Long Way from Chicago is written by Richard Peck.  Two kids go to their grandmas house every year.  Their Grandma is anything but usual.  The first year at her house they see a corps!  There is a lot more than that they visit grandma seven times.  I don't think I could last.  Grandma is larger than life and just as intertaning I hope you like the book.

A Year Down Yonder is written by Richard Peck.  Mary Alice one of the kids now has to brave a entire year with grandma.  Never try to predict what happens around grandma, and guess what happens when a storm blows in.

Here Lies the Librarian

This book is written by Richard Peck. The book is about a lot of things.  Early cars, auto manics, racing, bullies,  making a woman out of a girl.  I liked learning about cars.  And the suspense of whats going to happen next.  The ideas in the book are very interesting to.

The Helen Keller Story

The Helen Keller Story is written by PID Scott Neely.  I say the book is a really great book. It has lots of detail.  It shows how Helen over came being blind and deft.  It is very long and precise.  Helen is a very stubborn woman.  To her impossible means do it.  When Anne Sullivan and Helen first met Helen did not know much but once she understood the concept of word she was thirsty for knowledge.  It is a very good book.

Sideways Stories from Wayside School

Sideways Stories from Wayside School is written by Louis Sachar.  So before I tell you about the book I must tell you something.  The kids at Wayside say you are the weirdest kids ever.  The Wayside school  was supposed to be built with thirty classrooms all in a row but there was a terrible mistake. It was built thirty stories high with one classroom on each floor.  The kids at the school are just as funny as the school itself.  I bet you go or went to a school  but I bet you did not go to school with a kid who can only read upside down.  You will meet Mrs. Gorf, the meanest teacher to be eaten. You will meet Mrs. Jewls the teacher they now have.  You will not meet Miss Zarves and you will get to know all the other students in Mrs. Jewls' class.  You will know these people, but you will never guess what happens with Sammy the new kid or what happens to the school on Halloween.

The Unfinished Angel

The Unfinished Angel is written by Sharon Creech. The main charactor is a confused angel that says, " People are strange." The idea of the story is the angel is trying to find a purpose.  The onomatopoeia in the story is funny at parts. Plus I really like the angel friend Zola.

Call it Courage: interveiwed with J.W

The author of Call it Courage is Armstrong Speery. The main character is Mafuta. The main idea is he is trying to make people think he is brave.  J.W likes it when the boy escapes from his home island, and when cannibals the people who eat other people are coming and he speedily swims away.

Walk Two Moons/Apsolutely Normal Chaos

Both books are written by Sharon Creech. And Sharon Creech she likes to kill people in almost all of her books.  You want to read these two books one right after the other, because one helps you understand the other.  One thing about the books is they have dating in them.  I really don't like that.  The description is very  nice.  And in Absolutely Normal Chaos it gives a book review of another book.  Wow!  They are both really nice but I have to say otherwise about the dating.
